February has been all about laying the groundwork. I started with the basics: setting up the project, structuring the database, and getting the first screens in place. Progress has been steady, if a bit slower than I'd like. Turns out, building a digital closet from scratch is a bigger challenge than it looks on paper.
The first real milestone is done: you can now add clothing items to your digital closet. Each item can have a photo, brand, category, and color. It's simple, but it works. The UI is still rough, but the core functionality is there. I'm focusing on making the process as quick and painless as possible. Nobody wants to spend hours cataloging their wardrobe.
There's a long way to go, but seeing the first items show up in the app is a huge motivator. Next up: making it easier to organize and find what you've added.
